A church does not always have to be made of wood or stone: it could be made of something more ephemeral. Every year a little church made of snow suddenly rises up in front of the Lutheran cathedral on Senate Square. It has become a popular sight and people love to visit it while it is there. The snow church has wooden doors, windows and seats. Inside the church it is pretty warm, probably because of its small size and the fact that it is usually full. Weddings have become especially popular in this unique church. Services are also held on Sundays at 10am. Unfortunately, there is not much room for a big congregation. When it is too warm the church begins to melt. However, this is not allowed to happen; the church is demolished early enough before the snow melts.
