Eight years old, and attracting everyone from hippies to besuited office workers, this cheerful and relaxed cafe has become a bit of a Bristol institution. Inside, the walls are decorated with modern art work, but it's the outside tables on the pavement that everyone fights over—especially in the rare event of sunshine! It's particularly busy on weekends, so arrive early if you prefer to enjoy your food sitting down. The reason for its popularity? Well, for a start it's a great place for a leisurely breakfast (traditional or vegetarian) and a perfect venue for lounging about and reading the morning papers. There's also a range of Mediterranean-inspired main meals, such as Moroccan roasted vegetable salad, but you'll be equally welcome if it's just a quick coffee you're after.
