Built in 1907, Stockyards Hotel (formerly the Thannisch Block Building) sits in the Stockyards area, as it has for nearly a century. In 1913, a brick facade was added to the building, giving it the distinction of being the first brick building in the area. The hotel once welcomed the infamous gangsters Bonnie and Clyde as guests.
