This restaurant is new to Clifton Village and is certainly a welcome addition. It's a very friendly, unfussy place, with a relaxed atmosphere conducive to lingering over as much spicy food as possible, which is a good thing, as the portions are huge! On the menu are a variety of meals for lovers of chicken and lamb, although the vegetarian choice is rather restricted. Seafood fans in particular will be delighted with the sheer number of prawn dishes. Specialities of the house include Tandoori mixed grill, lamb tikka pasandra and chicken jaal frijie. Side orders are extensive and include all the favourites such as Bombay potatoes and sag bhaji. Indian lagers are available - a good choice as they are brewed slightly sweeter, to counteract the effect of chillies - plus a selection of house wines at approximately £8 a bottle.
booking is advisable.
