This is a typical little street market where there are a number of stalls, street-sellers and craftsmen who attract a diverse clientele because of their wide range of goods at reasonable prices. You'll find all sorts of items for the home, everything from tools to antiques, clothes, shoes, accessories, perfume, flowers and plants, books, records and things you wouldn't expect to see. The special features of this market are its leather stalls and wickerwork.

Just a five-minute walk away are major monuments, such as Casa Lis-Museo Art Nouveau Art Decó (the Museum of Decorative Arts), the Catedral Nueva (New Cathedral), the Catedral Vieja (Old Cathedral), the Universidad de Salamanca, the Plaza de Anaya, the Plaza Mayor, etc.
