Opposite the University of Salamanca, you can see the statue of Fray Luis de Leon sculpted by Nicasio Sevilla. At the end, on the left, is the entrance to the Escuelas Menores (small colleges). The doorway has two semi-circular arches supported by a column and framed by a double alfiz with three imperial shields. In the entrance hall, you'll see the shield of the University with the inscription "omnium scientiarum princeps salmantica docet" (Salamanca leads in the teaching of all sciences). The courtyard has a lawn, arches and a well.
