This convent is a veritable treasure trove. If you want to see murals from the 12th to the 16th century, you should definitely visit it. You can also see a wonderful wooden crucifix from the 15th century in Gothic-Byzantine style, canvases from different periods, sculptures and medallions in relief from the 16th century and coffered ceilings from the 14th century. The building itself dates from 1250, though it has been remodeled on several occasions after being destroyed by fire. On the tour of the convent, you will also visit four sections worthy of note: the low choir, the high choir's northern gallery, the space above the church’s vaulted ceilings and the balcony from which there is a pretty and generally unknown view of La Clerecía Church, San Esteban Convent and the Cathedrals.
