Housed within a former palace that was once home to the daughter of Viña del Mar’s founding father, this museum is now one of the most important collections of European paintings in Chile, dating from the 15th to the 19th century. All major schools are represented (Italian, French, Spanish, Dutch and English), and the collection also includes some of Chile's best works from the mid-19th century onwards. The building itself came into the hands of the local Municipal Authorities in 1941, and thanks to subsequent donations and acquisitions, the original art gallery has been greatly enriched. Admission: CLF 100 children and CLF 300 adults.
