Upon entering the Steingasse you'll find an unassuming little place to your left. The first thing to catch your eye is a big porcelain beast of prey sitting in the window, whilst music drifts out onto the street from the open door. This tiny location - a wonderful mixture of bar, restaurant, gallery, music-café and café - was the first in Salzburg which succeeded in offering a kind of easy-going lifestyle. Jazz music, delicious wines, and art on the walls all add to the atmosphere in this restaurant. Perhaps not for big dinners and lunches, it is great for enjoying small dishes such as seafood, salads, and soups and enjoying life by reading one of the art journals.
