For an unforgettable experience and amazing panoramic views, nothing beats a hot air balloon flight. This is strictly for the early birds as flights commence at daybreak. You can choose a flight over Christchurch or head a little further afield to Methven, where you can a full 300-kilometre view of the Canterbury Plains and Mount Cook. Once airborne, you drift peacefully with the breeze for an hour. Back on land, the flight is celebrated with a traditional champagne breakfast in the field.
