The Churches of Wales had the novel idea of transforming a red lighthouse boat into a floating cafe, so "come aboard you scurvy landlubbers!" for tea, coffee, snacks and cakes at prices that would make Long John Silver force the cook to walk the gang-plank. You're aboard a boat, shipmates, so there's no frills, but it's good to have a snack to the gentle movement of the swell, and the Lightship is an ideal port of call if you're visiting the nearby Cardiff Bay Visitor Centre or Norwegian Church Arts Centre. Don't miss the opportunity to look over the whole ship while you're on board - everything from the sleeping quarters to the engine room is open to public view.
