biking trail
Rented bikes in downtown Anchorage and biked this trail one afternoon. Saw plenty of moose who ignored us, apparantly used to people gawking at them. Beautiful views, nice paved roads. Allow 3 hours for the casual rider depending on how many moose stand in your path.

Great Exercise
This trail is good to do many things on, plus it's great exercise. I live in Anchorage, and run on the coastal trail almost every day.

Great experience in Alaska
My husband and I were in Anchorage late May/early June and biked this trail one morning. It is a fun ride - really beautiful scenery and we saw at least 4 moose up close and personal (they are evidently very used to seeing humans and couldn't care less that we were there) and a bald eagle. We rented bikes downtown and they gave us a map which was easy to read and follow to get to the trail.
