This rainforest is part of the US National Forest System, and a World Biosphere Reserve recognized by the United Nations. Campers require a permit to enter the area. They are available by calling the office or inquiring in the visitor's center. The reserve is 56 kilometers from San Juan. The environments in the reserve include the rain forest, the mountainous vegetation and the dwarf plants.
Take a guided tour that lead visitors to the Coca Waterfalls and the Yokahu Observation Tower. This is a great educational outing for children and adults.
