Zona Arqueológica El Rey is worth a visit and is closely situated in the resort area of Cancún. Here you can appreciate the vestiges of one of the most interesting and complete civilizations of America: The Mayans. These ruins are a window into the history of Mexico and are Cancún's largest archaeological site. This was an ancient city that had its splendor between the years 1250 and 1521 AD.
