Peking Hanten is a long-established purveyor of traditional Peking Court cuisine. Located in the heart of Chinatown and about a leisurely ten-minute walk from Ishikawa-cho Station, the restaurant is one of the oldest and most popular Beijing-style eateries in Yokohama. Peking Hanten is famous for its Peking Duck, which requires two hours advanced notice. The chef of this restaurant hails from Beijing and serves up delicious Peking Court style food with lots of fresh vegetables, beef, lamb and of course, duck.
decor: The decor has unimaginative red walls adorned with screens. There are also a fair number of golden dragons flying about, but the atmosphere is comfortable. Most of the tables are large and round for communal or Chinese-style family dining, although with a little persuasion you may be able to get a more intimate table for two or four. Reservations are strongly recommended.
