Owned by three German brothers, Giesen's is the largest winery in the Canterbury region. Situated near the main southern road out of Christchurch, close to Burnham Military Camp, the vineyard has a formidable reputation for export-quality, award-winning wines. Try their Riesling, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, as well as their lovely port. The vineyard offers wine tasting and sales and has a picnic area (you will need to bring your own) right beside the vines.
