The seaside town of Kaikoura is renowned worldwide for its marine reserves and whale watch tours, which allow visitors to observe magnificent sperm whales and dolphins in their natural habitat, from boat, light aircraft or helicopter. After the tour lunch at Fyffe Gallery and Restaurant or Craypot Cafe and Bar, there is a visit to the local fur seal colony.
