Best Attraction in Town
We were from Toronto, Canada with about 5 hours to kill before our flight. We wanted to see Alaska's beauty and after talking to Pete the owner we had to give it a try. The shop takes you to the base of FlatTop mountain with bikes. You can take a 1 hr hike (slightly strenuous) to the top of the mountain with a great view of Anchorage and the surrounding landscape the entire way. When you're done with your hike you can pick up your bikes and bike downhill all the way back to the shop along a beautiful bike route. It was a lot of fun and something new.

What a great way to spend an afternoon!!
Friendly staff provided a choice of bikes, routes with maps, helmet, and lock--even provided directions how to put them on the bus. Very casual place--bikes not new (at least mine wasn't). Also runs a bike/hike combination trip to Flattop, but I didn't have time when it was scheduled. Remember, everything is expensive in AK.
