The International Stadium Yokohama is a huge stadium built to comfortably accommodate 70,000 spectators. Environmentally friendly, ISY's power is supplied by surplus electricity from a city-operated garbage incineration plant. The water for air-conditioning and heating, toilets, and natural grass sprinkler system is a combination of rainwater collected from the roof and treated and recycled wastewater from area homes and factories. Two giant screens, nine meters high and 19 meters wide, ensure that everyone gets a good view.
