On 13 January 1991, Malaysia saw the launching of the first MEASAT satellite, the pride of the country. With that, came the construction of the MEASAT Satellite Control Center (MSCC) to monitor and control the satellite's in-orbit operation. Built on the highest peak of Langkawi, MEASAT Satellite Control Centre (MSCC) is the nation's major communication breakthrough. The Langkawi Center has since been identified as Malaysia's aerospace center. The view from the top of the control tower is simply magnificent. Contact the center to arrange a visit. Admission: Free.
