Approximately 100,000 objects and documents, all of which record the traditional civilisations which have existed on the five continents can be found in this museum. The permanent exhibition is arranged in seven departments: Africa, America, Asia, Ethnomusicology, Europe, Oceania and Visual anthropology. Several times a year there are temporary exhibitions often with concerts or films. There is also a very important library and a goldmine of photographic and cinematographic material in the archives.Free entry for everyone the first Sunday of the month.
