Barbary Coast Walking Tour
The Barbary Coast trail was easy to follow when walking through San Francisco. It took us on paths we wouldn't normally walk. It would have been more fun and educational if the markers told a story along the way. We knew we were seeing buildings of historical significance but did not know exactly what it was all about. This is too bad since the markers are beautiful and were donated by people who understand the importance of the history of San Francisco.

Great way to get your exercise on this self-guided walk
This trail was a great way to see downtown SF and view things you normally wouldn't see. Walking on this trail, I knew it had some historial buildings and things from the past but I had no idea what the story was behind them. (except for the obvious: Chinatown, Coit Tower, etc...) It would probably be good to read up on some of the places you will pass by on this trail, otherwise; you won't have a clue. It is a long walk, while you are site seeing and you will get tired but its all worth it, especially when you get to Fisherman's Wharf. This can be an all-day or half-day walking tour, depending on what you enjoy doing along the way.
