Whether it is a Korean or a foreign book, Chongno bookstore offers a selection of some 1.8 million items. On the first floor, there is an information desk with a magazine stand. The second and third floors sell various Korean books. The fourth floor is a stationery store while the fifth floor sells CDs and tapes. A large selection of foreign books is sold on the sixth floor. On special occasions, writers drop by and talk to shoppers on the seventh floor, a designated resting area.
