Even though the building is located on elegant Kurfürstendamm, the 'Maison de France' exhibits the typical architectural simplicity of the post-war era, when the building was constructed by the French military. The tricolour flag, swaying gently in the wind adds the only touch of colour to the bare facade. The cinema itself, inconspicuously furnished with a slightly nostalgic touch, has an extremely high auditorium with balconies.
