The German Museum Bonn specialises in technical exhibits and is situated in Ahrstraße, right next to the Bonn Science Centre. The magnetic monorail Transrapid is on display in front of the entrance and can't be missed. The permanent exhibition is dubbed, 'Research and Technology in Germany after 1945' and has inspired visitors since 1995. Highlights of the technological/scientific achievements of the last 50 years are displayed, such as the borehead from the Continental deep drilling programmes for example.
