The virtuoso chef's cuisine displays a light and modern take on classic French fare, with a penchant for truffles. Winter diners may even encounter a copious truffle-based menu, exquisite to the last morsel of truffle-laden dessert. The imperial style is quite formal, and salmon-colored tablecloths and ornate decorative objects suggest the owners also contracted a worrying case of kitsch. Not the place for a romantic or inexpensive dinner, Le Béarn is perfect for conducting business on an expense account. The wine list is famously large and glorious. Please note that the restaurant is closed from mid July to mid August and Saturdays from June to September.
