Because of its cool climate, Tagaytay draws hordes of weekend visitors eager to escape the lowland heat. In fact, many wealthy Manila residents maintain second homes here. Day-trippers usually head for the picnic grounds overlooking Taal Volcano and Lake. An overnight stay can be readily arranged at a hotel or an inn.
