The Aennchenplatz is located not far from the Godesberg theatre square. There, at the foot of the Godesburg, the historic guest house Zur Lindenwirtin Aennchen can be found. The building and the restaurant are among the best known in Bonn. Unfortunately, the original buildings that housed the guest house, which the 18-year old Aennchen Schumacher took over from his parents in 1878, are no longer there. It was torn down in 1971 as part of a city-wide cleanup operation and rebuilt two years later. The young landlady, after whom the guest house is named today, was a favorite among students in the city. She was laid to rest in 1935 in the Burg cemetery in Bad Godesberg
