Located in the city garden and almost on the Rhine embankment, is the birthplace of Peter-Josef Lenné, who was born on 29th September 1789. He was one of the greatest masters of landscape architecture and created many park and garden complexes throughout Germany. One of his biggest projects was the Schlossgarten in Berlin. A park created by him in Bad Neuenahr, 25km away from Bonn, is also worth a visit.
