The former House of Commons, as one must say since the Parliament moved to Berlin, has 29 floors and is 114 metres high - it is thus Bonn's highest building. It was erected from 1966-69 and cost around 50 million Marks to build. The Bonn people still call it Langer Eugen after the then President of Parliament Eugen Gerstenmeier. MPs no longer come here since the recent move, but various firms and the University of Bonn have expressed an interest in the building.
