The "Entries" are a series of little alleys between High Street and Ann Street. They're worth exploring, as their intimacy and age seem to promise adventures round every corner. It's reasonable to suggest that more than a few adventures have begun or ended at White's Tavern, especially as it lays claim to being the oldest pub in Belfast. Its 17th-century fabric and secluded ambiance serve to fuel such speculation, and after a few pints you'll be convincing yourself that you're a co-conspirator. When you're ready to come back to reality, White's has a reputation for good, home-made pub food, which is served during the day. Wednesdays at White's Tavern are geared towards a gay crowd, but attract a relaxed mixed bunch.
