The last few seasons here have seen a preponderance of blockbuster musicals and children's musicals, ranging from The Man of La Mancha to Beauty and the Beast or Grease. The theater is in a typical early-20th-century building on Gran Vía, also known as Madrid's Broadway. This is the second biggest theater in Madrid, with capacity for 1496 people. It is surrounded by hotels, shops and department stores and is a stone's throw from Plaza España, one of the city's most visited squares.
