Pronounced "wah-HOCK-uh", this second-story restaurant is a favorite with visitors for its health-conscious, made-from-scratch Mexican and Southwestern cuisine. Dark wood furnishings, archways and columns give the restaurant a Mexican village feel. Typical Mexican is prepared with care and attention to nutrition. All salsas, sauces, guacamole and breads are made fresh daily. Try the house-made desserts, especially those crafted of Belgian chocolate. Most meals range $6-12. Arizona micro-brews and more than 40 tequilas are the usual beverage choices. A new wine list highlights Chilean bottlings. A glass of house wine is $4-6. Whatever drink you choose, you can sip it whilst enjoying the view from the rooftop cantina.
