The visitor can interpret the dramatic design of the Etzel Museum – a sleek glass rectangular structure built over the ruins of a former Ottoman building – however they wish. The Etzel was a paramilitary force that operated against both the British and the Arabs to win Jewish sovereignty, before being incorporated into the Israel Defence Forces. This museum deals primarily with the campaign to 'liberate' Jaffa. The exhibits are well organised and follow a serpentine course that is enjoyable to follow. All the material, including an informative brochure, is translated into English. Admission: Adult NIS10; Students and seniors NIS5.
