Situated in the middle of Belle Isle are 20 acres of wild nature that was long known as the Children's Zoo. An elevated walkway takes visitors past large exhibits where exotic animals roam, including kangaroos, cheetahs and tigers. The Zoo also features nature trails, and an Exploration Lodge. Belle Isle Zoo is a manageable visit for small children and a great short break for adults.
