This cinema is very centrally located at the top of Avenyn, by Götaplatsen. It seats 382 people. Royal was built in the early 1940s, and even though there have been several refurbishments of the interior, a lot of the old charm remains, such as preserved wall—paintings and padded doors. Royal has a THX system and features SRD sound. The cinema is part of the Sandrews—Metronome chain. The box office opens at 5pm Mon-Fri and at 11.30am Sat-Sun.
