Angered is a northern suburb of Gothenburg, with a dense immigrant population from a wide variety of countries. Here, you will find a thriving community theatre, which was under the auspices of Stadsteatern until the mid-1990s. The theatre lies between the high school and Blå Stället (a community centre with various leisure activities and a cinema), and is open Monday through Thursday. It is constructed as an amphitheatre with a gallery, and seats 200—250 people depending on the set construction. One of the main attractions is drama based on stories submitted by the locals, about Angered itself. These stories are emailed to the theatre under the heading Angered berättar (Angered Tales).
