Valand is something of an institution in Gothenburg nightlife. The large white building is situated in the crossing of Avenyn and Vasagatan, a hub for buses, trams, cars, pedestrians and cyclists. Nightclub Valand is open Thursday to Saturday, and admits approximately 600 people. Valand is divided into a restaurant area and a nightclub area, with four bars, one rock bar and two dance floors where different DJs play a variety of music. There is a standing special offer, Smakstart, which includes fillet of beef or smoked salmon with side dishes and wine or beer. During this offer, drinks are also offered at a special rate.
