Den Lilla Tavernan lives up to its name of "Little Tavern". This tiny restaurant positively exudes Greek tradition and camaraderie. But then it is hard to refrain from speaking to the person at the next table when you have to sit in their lap in order to reach your seat. The menu offers a wide range of typical Greek dishes. It is all very inexpensive and tasty but be prepared to wait. Lilla Tavernan is a very popular restaurant, and it can take a while to get served. It is also not possible to reserve tables in advance, the system here is first come, first serve. There is, however, a small bar in the entrance area where you can enjoy ouzo or a glass of wine while you wait to be seated. There is also a separate non-smoking area. The guests are entertained with live bouzouki music while they eat.
