Although Cozumel is Mexican, its roots are firmly in the Caribbean. Just like many other Caribbean destinations at this time of year, Cozumel islanders also like to let their hair down with a visual and musical extravaganza, only here it is with a distinct Mexican twist.
The results are Carnival, and Cozumel is famous for its five-day party that includes bright costumes, parades, dances and lots and lots of food and music.
