The Stock Exchange is situated by Gustav Adolfs Torg, just next to Brunnsparken. The land where the Stock Exchange stands today was during the seventeenth century the site of a stone building, which was demolished in 1844 when the construction of the Exchange and Festivities building began. The building was completed by 1849 in its present configuration. The city council has held its meetings here since 1863, and the Exchange was Heritage listed in 1968. To get here, take any tram or bus to Brunnsparken.
