Nordstan is proud to call itself the largest shopping center in Scandinavia. With over 150 shops, restaurants and cafes, it occupies the same area as 12 football pitches. At Nordstan you can find almost anything under one big roof. The square in the middle has an information booth. This shopping center was completed in 1972, after a huge redevelopment process which transformed the area, neglected in the 1960s. To get here, take any tram line to Brunnsparken. If you're lucky enough to be here in May, the center is filled with many events from the Vetenskapsfestivalen (International Science Festival Göteborg).
