Novotel Göteborg's location in the large red-brick building that used to house Carnegie Porter Brewery is not central, but very beautiful. Right by the mouth of the Göta river, it is surrounded by the old houses of Klippans Cultural Reserve. On the other side of the road is Majorna, which appears to be the most traditional part of the city. If you are travelling by car and ferry, this hotel may be more convenient for you than the central ones. To reach the hotel from the centre, take trams 3 or 9 to Vagnhallen Majorna, or the ferry from Älvsnabben to Klippan.
