Don't drink the water!
The beach was nice but in the water it was kind of rocky. Not real bad but you had to watch where you stepped. The staff was very friendly. Bar drinks were included which was nice. The lounge chairs were real close to each other so you are packed in pretty close. My wife and I got a message on the beach which was the high point of the trip. The food buffet was ok but they had no bottled water or sodas. Only fountians with Lemonade and Kool Aid. I drank two classes and got very ill with desyntary. I was sick for the rest of the cruise. if they don't warn you they shouldn't put the drink out there. Nice place but we would not go back again.

Loved all of it!
I just got back from a cruise and this was my favorite spot. When we left the taxi, it was raining, and we were greeted by an employee with umbrellas. It cleared up, and we were fortunate enough to enjoy a beach that wasn't crowded at all. We got the basic package, just $29, and this included an open bar! The service was fantastic. Our glasses were never empty. Guty, our server, was quick with the refills and very courteous. We brought our own snorkel gear, and were thrilled with the Mayan art placed in the water along the swimming area, as well as the various colorful fish there. There was an inflatable rock climbing wall with a slide out in the water, along with an inflatable trampoline. We didn't have time to take advantage of the free use of kayaks and paddleboats, but maybe next time. One nitpick: the beach is very rocky. I'd recommend bringing water shoes. Otherwise, I would highly recommend this beach for all ages.

Disappointing
After being told this was a hotspot on the island, I experienced it with a rude taste in my mouth and left highly disappointed. The shoreline contained jagged rocks which made it hard to navigate. The overall beach area was rather small and average.
