Rathlin Island, just a short boat trip from Ballycastle, is Northern Ireland's most beautiful off-shore island. Bird watchers flock here, especially in May and June, to see Ireland's largest groups of nesting seabirds, including puffins. The Manor House is a restored Georgian mansion, now privately run, which offers comfortable accommodations at reasonable rates. Approved by the Northern Ireland Tourist Board, this guesthouse offers en suite single, double, and twin rooms, though cheaper standard single rooms are also available. In addition to a hearty Ulster breakfast and packed lunches on request, evening meals are also offered to the guests.
