Situated on the edge of terraced rice fields, Kampung Cafe is probably the favorite restaurant of expatriates in the Ubud area. This restaurant scores on its ambiance (whimsical sculptures by owner Made Dobel) and food (fresh ingredients combined in a co llage of flavors). A concise menu with daily specials, the fusion cuisine here offers something for everyone. The homemade pastas with fascinating sauces or Indonesian fusion selections, which can be made hot and spicy--all come in generous servings. Groups fill in during lunch but it is much quieter during dinner. Bring in your own alcohol without having to pay any corkage.
