As one of Asia's top arts events, the Singapore Arts Festival present a platform upon which performers and musicians exert their creative freedom. It is no place for amateurs, as artists in the running including Spain's National Dance Company, the Michael Nyman Band and Theatre des Bouffes du Nord from France. Audiences are treated to various art forms like dance, music, ballet and street performances. A Festival Village is held at the Fort Canning Park. In addition, a number of fringe events, talks and workshops are held.
