Can't wait to go back!!
We had a reunion group of six couples at the Jasmine House Inn and had a wonderful experience. The rooms were beautiful and huge and the bathrooms were wonderful. The rooms had 14 foot ceilings with beautiful moldings and the antique furnishings fit in with the house and Charleston. The staff was most helpful in getting us whatever we needed. The continental breakfast with egg and sausage biscuits, fresh fruit, yogurt, sweet rolls, hard boiled eggs, etc was a gracious plenty for us to get our day started. All during the day tea and lemonade were available in the kitchen and then in the afternoon cheese and crackers, fruit, some kind of dip and wine were great after a day out wandering. We loved having the front porch and the beautiful garden in the back where our whole group could be together. Our group was from all over the country and everyone loved the inn. We felt like it was our own house and the staff helped to make us feel this way. We will be back

Pick your room carefully
This is my second stay at the Jasmine house. The first time we came, we stayed in the carriage house #1 and while very cute, we found it noisy at night with of all things, motorcycle traffic on the main street, less than a block away,.... and there was of course, no sound proofing so had us waking up quite a bit. It's near the restaurants and bars, which is great for entertainment, but it does get noisy in the carriage house. This time we are staying in the actual house, the Bancroft room, and while a bit pricy, it's well worth it for the quietness. It's a very homey feel, and Charleston experience, but a bit more detail could be paid to cleanliness...just dusting sort of thing. When you get into these older, historic, bed and breakfast places, there is a fine line between run down and authientic, so maybe I am being too picky. The staff was awesome, true southern hospitality..so they more than made up for any short comings in other areas. A great place for couples, but not a family. I will return year after year.

Beautiful historic Inn
Lovely furnishings, very helpful staff. Great location for walking to restaurants, shops, yet quiet and off the main road. Each room is different- third floor apt. has huge living room and master suite, with private full kitchen and dining room. Nice breakfast and beautiful outdoor courtyard with hottub.
