The island’s premier sailing event takes place every spring. Nearly 100 boats from across the globe gather to race challenging courses in the waters off St. Thomas. Casual sailors can ask around at the St. Thomas Yacht Club to find out who needs crew. A good crowd of sailors, locals and visitors stop by for the post-race parties. If you are staying somewhere on the northeast coast of St. Thomas, watch for the boats with their colorful spinnakers flying. There is no cost to watch.
