If you are arriving in Wellington by air, ask the taxi driver to divert via the bays and your reward will be the most inspiring views available from any of the city's many vantage points. The landlocked harbourside city is resplendent no matter what the weather's mood. However, as the song says, "You can't beat Wellington on a good day"!
